2nd Septembert 2007 - Jump FINALS Men
Bronze medal goes to Jason Seels with 68.4m after jumping all three of his jumps over 68m. The last two out were Jaret Llewellyn and Freddy Krueger.

Jaret had to set the standard high, as he knew that Freddy was ready to pounce. It looked like Jaret had done enough with 70.7m. Freddy, last off the dock, set a first jump of 67.5m and then went all out on the second, this paid off and he knew he had done it the moment he landed.

72.4m (238ft) to take the title from Jaret.

For Jaret, it was enough for him to take the overall title by 100 points from Oleg Deviatovski. Outstanding performances overall from Marco Riva and Felipe Miranda to take third and fourth.

USA also squeezed points out of Jimmy Siemers to take the Team title from France with Belarus third, Canada fourth and Great Britain fith.

2nd Septembert 2007 - Jump FINALS Ladies The ladies jump final proved crucial to the ladies overall with Clementine Lucine improving her score to 50.4m to be one of seven girls to leap over the 50m mark. This score from Clementine was enough to take the overall title from Regina Jaquess.

Angeliki Andriopoulou pulled out all the stops to try and catch Clementine and in doing so set a massive distance of 54.9m to retain her jump title. Elena Thomsen jumped 53.1m to get the silver from Natalia Berdnikova in third.

Natalia provided added excitement with a big out, doing a complete sumersault out the front, with only minor injuries. June Fladborg also went close to the edge and on one jump clipping the edge of the ramp to break a fin.

So the girls overall finished up an all European line up of Clementine, Angeliki and then Elena. This brings the gold medal tally for Europe to six, taking every gold so far with only the mens jump, mens overall and team events to be decided.

2nd Septembert 2007 - Jump FINALS Last events of the finals today with both the jump finals, starting at 11.00 with the ladies.

The ladies jump final is crucial to the team overall. There are no team skiers in the mens final and the ladies will decide the team results. USA currently lead France by 32 points and I think the French have the best possibility to improve their scores.

1st Septembert 2007 - Trick FINALS The French dominate this event with Clementine Lucine surfing close to the world record scoring 8430 points. Second and third could not have been closer with Natalia Berdnikova scoring 8160 and Mandy Nightingale 8150.

In the mens event it was one of the highest scoring finals of all time with the top five all scoring over 11,000 points. But once again Nicolas Le Forestier gets in that extra toe step to take the title with 11,860 form Aliaksei Zharnasek on 11,470 and Oleg Deviatovski with 11,140 points.

1st Septembert 2007 - Slalom FINALS The cold and rain soon turned into sun shine and still water to provide the perfect conditions for the event.

First girl to run the 11.25m pass was Regina Jaquess going on to score 1.00 @ 10.75m to give her forth place and add valuable points to her overall tally. Karen Truelove and Karina Nowlan went on to score 1.50 @ 10.75m for second and third.

Nicole Arthur then went out and scored 2.00 @ 10.75m on her Fisher #1 to secure the gold medal and take her first big pro win. April Coble Eller last off the dock missed her gates on 10.75m

In the mens event Chris Parrish was first off the dock and set 0.25 @ 10.25m as the mark to aim at. Chris stayed at the top of the list for some time until Christopher Rossi and Jeff Rodgers took to the water both scoring 2.00 @ 10.25m forcing a run off which was won by Jeff to secure him second place.

The star of the day is Thomas Degasperi holding off the pressure to score 3.00 @ 10.25m on his Goode to take the title in front of a big Italian group in the crowd. Even Andres Alessi was jumping up and down! Forth place went to Jason Paredes with 1.00 @ 10.25m on his first season on a new Fisher #1.

1st Septembert 2007 - FINALS Conditions are not great this morning. It is cold and there is a bit of rain about. First up is the ladies slalom final and then the men straight after.

31st August 2007 Two outstanding scores from two outstanding French athletes in Nicolas Le Forestier scoring 11,960 points and Clementine Lucine scoring 8510 points.

Clementine was really close to the world record held by second place skier Mandy Nightingale. Mandy scored 7620 just ahead of Natalia Berdnikova. Regina Jaquess and Marina Mosti both failed to make the cut for the finals tomorrow.

In the mens event Aliaksei Zharnasek scoring 10,670 points was in second place with Oleg Deviatovski, Jaret Llewellyn, Cory Pickos and Russell Gay all within 210 points of Aliaksea. Both Herman Beliakou and Olivier Fortamps scored over 10,000 points to secure their spots in tomorrows final.

31st August 2007 World Champion Angeliki Andriopoulou secured her place in Sundays jump final with second slot scoring 52.1m just behind Natalia Berdnikova who jumped 52.4m Elena Thomsen continued her exciting return with third place and 51.0m.

2005 Bronze medalist Jakalyn Hunter failed to make the final scoring only 45.1m

Conditions for mens series one jump became perfect with the sun out and a gentle head wind whick enabled the top men to fly.

Freddy Krueger set the mark with 70.3m to make him last off the dock in the final.

Jaret Llewellyn very close behind with 69.9m from fellow Canadian Ryan Dodd with 66.6m Good to see Scot Ellis back in the finals with 65.0m

Rodrigo Miranda and Marco Riva took the last 2 spots in the final after Kyle Eade and Ryan Green failed to make the 63m mark for the cut.

30th August 2007 Mens slalom was finished off this morning and it produced a few shocks! The best score was 2.00 @ 10.25m set by six skiers including Marcus Brown and Thomas Degasperi. Thomas Moore continued his rise to stardom making the final with 1.50 @ 10.25m

Carlo Allais from Italy made the final with Chris Parrish the last qualifier, only just making it after a run off with Ivan Morros and Nick Parsons. Jodi Fisher and Glenn Campbell both failed to make the final scoring low on the 10.75m pass.

28th August 2007 This event marks the return of two of the greats in Water Skiing. Two current world record holders. First is Elena Thomsen. If you don't recognise the name, that's because Elena is now married and has had time off with her family.

She is better known to everybody as Elena Milakova. I saw Elena ski at the EAME Championships last year in Greece and her jumping was still impressive. Elena is still the world jump record holder with 56.6m set in 2002. Today she tops the slalom results with 1.00 @ 11.25m with series 1 and 2 to go on Thursday.

Secondly we saw Kristi Overton Johnson take to the water. Kristi has been concentrating on other projects for a few years and is now back scoring 5.00 @ 13.00m.

This will not get her a place in the final, but she will be working on a return to form that saw her as one of the only Ladies to complete the 10.75m pass way back in 1996

27th August 2007 Open World Championships Linz - Steyregg, Austria.

The event gets under way on Tuesday morning with Slalom and tricks. Planetwaterski.com will be at the event on Thursday morning to provide the official scoreboard. This will go out live on Planetwaterski.com as soon as we get set up on Thursday morning.
