29th October 2000 Definitely the performance of the year comes from Jimmy Siemers, the talented 18 year old from Texas at the Tri-Lakes competition at Bennett's last week end.
Double pending world records with a jump of 70.9m (233ft) and an overall score of just over 2717 points. This score came from the 70.9m jump with 10330 points in tricks and 1.5 @ 11.25m in slalom.
It's good for the sport to see some younger skiers challenging Jaret and Patrice.

28th October 2000 Patrice Martin increased his hold on the World Overall record by extending it at McCormick's to just over 2680 points.
This includes scores of 2.5 @ 10.75m in slalom, 10800 in tricks and 63.5m in jump.


28th October 2000 This years National Collegiate Water Ski Association Nationals was held at Lafayette by the University of Louisiana over the week end of the 12th to the 14th October.
Overall team winners were Louisiana Monroe ahead of Louisiana Lafayette.
Outstanding individual performances came from the overall winners Dane Puxty from Louisiana Lafayette and Geraldine Jamin from Central Florida. See the full results.


18th October 2000 Billy Nichols and Sharon Remy beat out the field of over 70 barefooters to be crowned the male and female World Endurance Champions this past weekend on Winter Haven’s Lake Silver at the 13th Annual Blairfoot Bananza.

1st October 2000 This week end sees 2 big events, the first is the Sunset Fall Classic from Sunset Lakes Okahumpka in Florida at Jack Travers.

The second event is the 2000 Pan American Water Ski Championships from the Cory Pickos World Water Ski and Wakeboard Center in Santa Rosa Beach. The event will include teams from North, Central and South America.
