McCormick International Record tournament in Seffner, Florida saw a gathering of many of the worlds
top skiers. This resulted in some quality performances, a pending world jump record from Elena Milakova
leaping 53.3m (175ft) Patrice Martin tricking 11,850 points and Sebastian De Pasquale blitzing the European
jump record with 66.4m (218ft).

US Pro Tour. Emma Sheers dominates womens waterskiing with the double at Fort Lauderdale 63.7m (209ft)
in the ski flying and 4.5@11m in slalom. Natalie Hamrick maintains her current form with 3.5@11m ahead
of Jill Knutson who won a run off with Kristi Overton Johnson for 3rd place both scoring 3@11m.

US Pro Tour. Mens slalom final saw no change at the top with Andy Mapple being the only skier to run the
10.75m line to score 1.5@10.25 (41 off) to take his second tour win this year. There was a close battle
for the second spot with Jamie Beauchesne scoring 4@10.75 just 1 buoy in front of Chris Parish.
In the ski flying event British skier Jason Seels secures himself his second position two of the tour
with a best jump of 81.4m (267ft) behind Jaret Llewellyn with 86.9m (285ft). Kyle Eade was the only
other skier to break 80m in third with 80.2m (263ft)

US Pro Tour. All 10 finalists into the slalom final are seperated by 2 bouys on the 10.75m line. The
standard is that high that even Doug Ross scoring 2@10.75m didnt make the final.
Jamie Beauchesne, Jodi Fisher, Terry Winter, Andy Mapple and Chris Parrish all qualify for the final
in top spot scoring 3@10.75m.
Natalie Hamrick leads the women with 3@11m followed by Jill Knutson and Kristi Overton Johnson.
Freddy Krueger and Scot Ellis are back on form with 265ft (80.8m) and 264ft (80.5m) Leading jaret
Llewellyn in the ski flying.

This week end Fort Lauderdale hosts the second stop of the US Pro Tour. Historically Fort Lauderdale
has been the venue for some of the current pro tour records in recent years, in particular Freddy Kruegers
jump of 286 feet last year and Andy Mapples 3 @ 41 off the year before. If you are intending to go,

US Pro Tour from Orlando. Better conditions for the final day saw Jaret Llewellyn maintain his first round
lead with a jump of 265 feet well in front of second place Jason Seels with 252 feet. Any one of the other
finalists could have taken 2nd place with only a few feet separating the top 7. Bruce Neville was in third
spot with 251 feet.
Emma Sheers took her first pro tour title in over 12 months to beat Karen Truelove into 2nd place with
2000 tour champion Kristi Overton Johnson having to settle for 3rd.
The mens slalom final proved the most exciting of the day with Andy Mapple and Drew Ross both scoring
3@10.75m to force a run off ahead of Jamie Beauchesne in 3rd. Despite the pressure Mapple held on to
score yet another tour title.

US Pro Tour from Orlando. $100,000 is up for grabs for the first ski flyer to pass 322 ft. Strong wind
kept the scores down with
Kyle Eade and Jaret Llewellyn leading the finalists both with 250 ft ahead of Jason Seels with 247 ft
in third place.
Mens slalom is split into heats with Andy Mapple and Drew Ross both clear leaders in their respective
groups going into the final.
Womens slalom saw Kristi Overton Johnson just scrape her way into the final after a run off for the
final 5th place to join Karen Truelove, Natalie Hamrick, Geraldine Jamin and Emma Sheers.

skiers advance to Saturdays semi finals.

Next up this week end is the first stop of the US Pro Tour from Orlando. Slalom, wakeboarding
and ski flying. Reports all week end.
Many of you have been asking for information on the world tournament championships in Spain.
I can confirm that the event will take place as published. There has been very little information
published so far by the organisers, by the middle of next week we will have some pages dedicated to
providing info for skiers and spectators going to the event.

caused the first day at the Melton Ski Fly World Championships to be cancelled. It looks like they
are going to try and run it all on Sunday. Up dates later on.

2001 Melton Ski Fly World Championships at the Melton Reservoir. Lots of entertainmet for the spectators
as the worlds top flyer attempt to break 300ft.

The Melbourne Masters, Finals day.
There was a problem with the trick scoring at Melbourne, hence no score for Nicholas Le Forestier
or Jimmy Seimers. Were being told that its 10,510 for Nic and 10,200 for Jimmy which puts them both
ahead of Jaret who scored 10,160.

The Melbourne Masters, Finals day.
65.1m (214ft) from Jaret Llewellyn gives him the mens jump
title in fromt of Scot Ellis and Curtis Sheers equal second with 63.6m.
Emma Sheers holds on to her lead with 50.1m in the ladies jump.
3@11m is enough for 1st Place for Sarah Gatty-Saunt on the tidal Yarra pushing out home skiers
Emma Sheers and Jodie Skipper in ladies slalom.
The Final pressure is too much for one Brit as Jodie Fisher is pushed down the order.
Andy Mapple holds his nerve to score 4@10.75m leaving Jason Paredes and Peter Chase to fill
second and third. All the scores.

The Melbourne Masters, Semi final day.
Andy Mapple misses the gates at 10.75 but still finishes top to take last slot in the slalom final
ahead of Jodi Fisher who scored 3@11m.
Sarah Gatty Saunt from GBR scored 3@11m to push out home skier Emma Sheers in the ladies slalom
with Rhoni Barton keeping 3rd place.
Nicolas Le Forestier maintains his grip on world tricks heading off Jimmy Seimers scoring 10790.
In the jump event scores were up on yesterday with 8 skiers passing 60m. Top place in the semi
final goes to Freddy Krueger with 64.2m (211ft) with Scot Ellis 63.8m (209ft) and Jason
Seels 62.3m (204ft) in second and third.

The Melbourne Masters. First round of the womens slalom saw Emma Sheers leading ahead of Sarah Gatty-Saunt
and Jodie Skipper. Jaret Llewellyn takes the mens overall which was very close between Tom Asher from the
UK and Ryan Green from Austrailia.

The Melbourne Masters (Moomba) is under way today with the first round of slalom seeing
Brits Andy Mapple and Jodi Fisher leading both on 2.5 @ 10.75. Steve Cockeram in 3rd place.
Ryan Green heads the jump list with 63.0m ahead of Jaret and Freddy Krueger. More reports during
the weekend.

Due to the cancellation of Ozski, we have extended the closing date for
the virtual slalom league. We
will accept entries up to 9am on Saturday 10th March. So all those of you who sent in entries this
afternoon, they will be accepted ok.
