31st August 2003 Drew Ross wins at the Ski Ranch Fall Record over the weekend scoring 4 @ 10.25m, just beating Ty Oppenlander who rounded 2 @ 10.25m.

Down the road at the SkiScape Fall Record Ty Oppenlander take second place there with 3 @ 10.25m, this time beaten by Steve Cockeram with 3 @ 10.25m


31st August 2003 European Open Championships, from lake Stratos in Agrinio, Greece.

26th August 2003 WORLD RECORD UPDATE
Jimmy Siemers jump from the US Open has today been confirmed as a new world record of 71.9m or 236 ft by my calculations. Click here for report from Master Craft.

25th August 2003 Just got the details from Jaret about his fall at the Canadian Nationals. On his first jump the head wind caught hold of his left ski and would not give it back!

Jaret puts his lack of real injury down to his neck and back brace.

25th August 2003 As a build up to the World Championships at the Swiss Ski School this year, we are running a series of short interviews with the top skiers.

To start off we have picked one of the greatest water skier of all time. Last week we spoke to Andy and here is the brief interview with the World Champion and record holder. Click here for the interview.

Where was Jaret Llewellyn this week end you ask? Well he want back home to win the Canadian National in Orangeville with a best jump of 65.6m. Word is that Jaret fell jumping and is injured. We will find out and let you know.


24th August 2003 Well what a week end!! Saturday in Denmark should have seen the Danish Open, but due to bad weather it was put off until Sunday morning.

Freddy Kreuger came out top with another 70m+ jump of 70.6m. Second was Jesper Cassoe on 68.7m with Scot Ellis in third with 68.3. Click here for all the results.

After this they all jumped on the plane and flew to London, England for the Liquid Leisure Honda Jump event. Less than 2 hours after getting off the plane they were all back on the water again with Freddy in the lead after the first round with 66.5m.

Liquid Leisure. The final round was in the dark, the Honda Night Jump. Freddy was last off the dock chasing an amazing 63.0m set by Curtis Sheers. Freddy refused his first 2 jumps and then fell on the third giving the event to Curtis.

Over the road at Princes Will Asher a 20 year old 3 event skier beat all the slalom pros to win his first major pro event.

20th August 2003 This week end the top Pro skiers all travel to London UK for two events. The first is the Pro Am slalom at Princes and the second is the Honda Jump event at Liquid Leasure on the Sunday which will see the top jumpers taking part in a night jump.

The jumpers will make their first stop on Saturday at the 2003 Danish Open. Click here to keep up dated over the weekend.


19th August 2003 The European under 21 Championships from Thorpe in London where we saw some quality skiing, especially from Will Asher who won the overall and slalom with 3 @ 10.25m.

The Pan Am Games saw Jaret Llewellyn and Freddy Krueger both score 67.0m in the final and Drew Ross take the slalom title.


16th August 2003 Pan Am Games

Jaret Llewellyn has the 1st round sewn up at the Pan Am Games with 65.1m (214ft) in jump and 10 700 in the trick event.


13th August 2003 A few events to look out for this week.

First is the US Nationals following on from the US Open at at Lago Santa Fe in Houston, the European under 21 Championships from Thorpe in London and the PanAm Games.


11th August 2003 2003 Overton's U.S. Open Water Ski Championships.

Mapple is slalom champion with 2.5 at 10.25m (41 off) just beating Jamie Beauchesne who scored a half buoy less.

Jaret Llewellyn pulled back in the final to lift the Men's jumping and overall. In the final Jaret jumped 68.6 meters (225 ft) with Jimmy Siemers and Freddy Krueger scoring 68.4m and 68.1m.

9th August 2003 2003 Overton's U.S. Open Water Ski Championships.

Opening rounds have already started with a new world record in the mens jump semi final. Jimmy Siemers jumped 71.8 meters (235 ft)

Jeff Rogers and Andy Mapple lead the mens slalom with 2@10.25m and 1.5 respectively.


6th August 2003 2003 Overton's U.S. Open Water Ski Championships.

This weekend all the top skiers will gather at Lago Santa Fe in Houston, Texas for the 2003 Overton's U.S. Open Water Ski Championships. With many of the top skiers in great shape this event will no doubt provide some new records.
