All happening this weekend starting off with a world record in the United Kingdom with Andy Mapple on home ground at Princes.

The Danish Open saw Scot Ellis take the top spot with a 66.5m jump ahead of Jesper Cassoe with 66.1m.

The Night Jump from Liquid Leisure at TV Ski was won by Ryan Green, Jumps were well short of what the skiers are normally capable
of due to the fact it was black dark!

Starting tomorrow are the World University Championships
from, for those of you who know the area, the Dongli District of Tianjin City in China plus from the United Kingdom there is the
evening record slalom from Tallington Lakes.
The weekend will see the pro skiers split between three events, the Danish Open, The Pro Am Invitation Slalom from Princes
in the UK and the Night Jump from Liquid Leisure at TV Ski.
$15,000 is available at Princes for the slalom event and $5,000 for the night jump.

Andres Bjork from Sweden secured first place at the weekends Norway Jump Challenge with a longest jump of 61.1m (201 feet)
in the third round.

West Marine U.S. Open Water Ski Championships, Karen Truelove Wins ladies
slalom after a run off with Kristi Overton-Johnson,
both scoring 1.5@ 10.75m.
In mens slalom a familiar pattern appeared with Andy Mapple taking the win with 2@ 10.25m in front of Chris Parrish scoring 1.5
on the same line length.
Closest jump final I have seen in years saw Jimmy Siemers take the gold with 220 ft (67.1m) Scot Ellis
second with 219 ft (66.8m) and Jason Seels third with 217 ft (66.1m) The ladies jump saw Emma Sheers beat Regina Jaquess by one
foot with a jump of 172 feet (52.4m)

Missed another event, the Danish Open on the 24th August from Vallensbaek. This event has a 20,000 Euro
cash prize and has, according to their list of competitors, attracted all the worlds top jumpers.
This weekend will bring the US Nationals to a close allowing the US Open to get underway on the same site
in Texas and we have the Norway Jump Challenge from Enebakk.

With a quiet period around the world while most of the National Championships are held during the first part of this month.
Then comes a busy time starting with The U.S. Open Championships from Santa Fe, Texas and The Norway Jump Challenge from
Enebakk over this weekend.
The following week sees the IWSF World University Championships over in Tianjin, China and on the other side of the world the
first of 2 big event in the United Kingdom, the Pro Am Invitation Slalom at Princes.
Then to finish off the month there is The British Open from John Battleday Waterski.
