28th August 2000 British Masters from John Battleday Water Ski at Thorpe Park this weekend, the final stop of The Cafe de Colombia World Cup. By far the best place to get event information is the British Water Ski web site. Click on the logo to get to the site.

27th August 2000 Andy Mapple takes another step towards the slalom title by beating fellow Brit Jodi Fisher in the final scoring 1 @ 10.25m. Kristi Overton Johnson again wins the ladies slalom.


26th August 2000 Today Andy Mapple sailed close to the world record scoring 5 @ 10.25m to take the top spot in tomorrows slalom final ahead of Chris Parrish with 2.5 @ 10.25m
A familiar result in ladies slalom. Kristi Overton Johnson way out in front with 1 @ 10.75m.
Toni Neville and Emma Sheers are still neck and neck in the jump event, Toni just in front with 50.6m and Emma 20 cm behind.



25th August 2000 Word Cup time again, with The Italian Masters from Idroscalo in Milan, the site for the 99 Worlds and The European Seniors in Denmark.


22nd August 2000 The World Barefoot Championships from Fergus Falls, Minnesota gets under way today. Reports here over the weekend, with full details on the official event site.


14th August 2000 Rooye Plas Masters from The Netherlands sees British skiers take both the mens slalom and mens jump with Jeremy Newby Ricci beating Marco De Bruyn in a run off and Jason Seels jumping 60.1m.

14th August 2000 The European under 21 Tournament Championships from Lago Arancio in Italy saw the British take the Team Gold with Tom Asher and Chris Shaw 2nd and 3rd overall behind Marco Riva of Italy.

Anais Amade finished top of the girls ahead of Clementine Lucine (FRA) and Marie Toms (GBR) in a very close battle with all 3 only seperated by 159 points.


13th August 2000 The Norway Jump Challenge at Enebakk is graced with Jaret Llewellyn who takes the title with 61.8m click for details.

9th August 2000 This week end sees us with 3 big event, all in europe. First up is the European under 21 Tournament Championships from Lago Arancio in Italy. Next is the Norway Jump Challenge at Enebakk click for details.
The final event is the famous Rooye Plas Masters from The Netherlands. Skiers entered here include Jason Seels and Nick Boettcher.

8th August 2000 Senior skiers from all over the globe gathered at Tallington at the week end for the International Seniors. Many records were broken, see the full results.

7th August 2000 With the Italian and British Masters so close together at the end of this month we thought we would up date you with the potentials winners of the Cafe de Colombia World Cup.

The ladies slalom has already been decided with Kristi Overton taking that.
Mens slalom is still wide open with Mapple, Cox and Parrish in the running only seperated by 14 points. Its so close that if they finished Parish - Cox - Mapple in Italy the overall positions would be reversed in time for the UK. What ever the result it will go to the UK.

Mens Jump has Freddy on 525 and Jaret on 450. If Jaret wins in Italy then Freddy needs 7th to take the title.
The closest race is with the Ladies Jump, both Emma Sheers and Toni Neville are on 525. This fight will definatly go all the way to the UK.


7th August 2000 Rodo Vinh-Tung from France took the $3000 first prize at the Cuervo Wakeboard Pro Tour in the UK ahead of fellow countryman Francois Roy. This win give Rodo the title after the 5 stop tour. Britians Louise Moore took top spot in the ladies final.

6th August 2000 The full results are on the IWSF site, but here are the top positions.
In Mens Jump Christophe Duverge took 1st place with 60.5 metres.
The womens overall winner was Anais Amade from France ahead of Marina Mosti and Sarah Gatty Saunt.
In the mens overall Oleg Deviatovsky just beat off Thomas Asher and Patricio Buzotta in a very close overall final.


2nd August 2000 The EAME European Championships start today in Moscow with the finals at the week end. Also in the UK at JB Waterski is the 5th stop of the Cuervo Wakeboard Pro Tour. All the European countries have their Barefoot Nationals this week end as well.
